Book Fetish

There’s a lot of debate on the future of books what with e-readers, etc., etc., and the opinion I hear most often is that they will go the way of film: niche, almost fetishistic, objects hoarded by collectors. 1. These are the (original) editions I inherited. You can see why I loved them – even if I can still feel every prickle from the horse-hair stuffed chair I sat on when I first read them chez a great-aunt.

  2. You inherited these? You have the best relatives. Also, I definitely did a double-take when I read your name!
